Online Burning Permit

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has implemented a new open burning permit online service.  There is a one-time fee of five dollars for each calendar year.  Once the online application is completed and the fee is paid, one can print and save an electronic copy.

The online permit service allows 911 dispatch centers to have the latest information on active permits to help protect the community from wildfires and false runs.

To apply for a permit, visit http://webapps1.dnr.state.mn.us/burning_permits/

Burning permits are required in Normanna Township.

Permits are also available by contacting the following local fire wardens:

Jeff Cooke (525-7159)

Dick Story (525-4052)

Everett Swartz (525-1073)

Bill Prudhomme (525-1503)
